Supported Charities
I have personally supported the following organisations, and as a business, Idibidi Kids™ would like to continue to do the same:
- Australian Red Cross - The Power of Humanity www.redcross.org.au
Natalie has donated to the Victorian Bushfires Appeal 2009. Hundreds of people, including children, have lost their lives in this tragedy, the largest natural disaster in Australia's history. Further information can be found online at the Red Cross website.
- SIDS and Kids www.sidsandkids.org
- Ngala www.ngala.com.au
- beyondblue www.beyondblue.org.au
The national depression initiative. October 2008 is Anxiety and Depression Awareness month. Beyondblue has specific information on post-natal depression and other links to mental health sites within Australia.
-
PANDA (Post and Antenatal Depression Association Inc.) www.panda.org.au
A Victorian based organisation, however does contain lots of useful information on post-natal depression and links to other PND (post natal depression) sites within Australia, (including PNDSA - Post Natal Depression Support Association in Perth) and other mental health sites. 16th to 22nd November 2008 is PND Awareness Week. Did you know that 1 in 7 new mums are affected by post natal depression?
- Meerilinga www.meerilinga.org.au
- Carbon Neutral www.carbonneutral.com.au
Idibidi Kids™ offset its vehicle emissions in 2008. This means that Carbon Neutral and Men of the Trees planted the equivalent amount of native trees required to offset the amount of carbon dioxide produced by my vehicle's emissions. This is one way you can help reduce the amount of greenhouse gas and create a better environment for our children.
- Raising Children Network
www.raisingchildren.net.au
- Women and Infants Research
foundation (WIRF) http://www.wirf.com.au
The Women and Infants Research Foundation (WIRF) is Western
Australia's leading community-based research organisation
dedicated to the fields of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn
Medicine.
Massage in Schools Australia Inc. (MISA)
An organisation who furthers the vision and aims of the international Massage in Schools Association, teaching peer massage to children aged 4 to 12 years. http://www.massageinschools.com.au/
